“I had a chance to go by the station this week and see the artwork delivered for the BSSS exhibit. My husband Terry hung the show since I was home recovering after our little one's arrival on May 27th. I wanted to tell you how nice the exhibit looks-- not only did Terry do a great job organizing and hanging the work but the quality of the work was as I had both hoped and remembered from the school--simply excellent. I am especially impressed with the school's teaching of natural light effects in the plein air paintings and with the overall uniqueness of the students' work. Beautiful stuff-- I wish I could afford to purchase several. Also appreciate the instructor's participation in the show-- as seen with Ron Bhoemer's and Jeffrey Stockberger as well as Mary and Ginny's pieces. I am sure there are others. Thank you! Thank you for your participtation at the station exhibit space!”

An extract from an article entitled “A Living Memory” by Marcia Rae published in The Enamelist Society Newsletter, Summer 2009

“ Grandchildren of Eleanor Olton inherited her home after her death at age 90. ……….. She had been an enamelling teacher for the Sandwich Gallery of the League of NH Craftsmen and the bequest included the contents of her enamel studio…………… In March 2009, The Enamelist Society Board had its Annual Meeting, and considered grant requests, including one from Janly Jaggard , and Barbara Brothers, Chairman of the Board, for the Beverley Street Studio School in Staunton, Virginia. They were seeking funds to introduce a learning center for enameling to the Mid Atlantic region, specifically the Shenandoah Valley. This was the perfect match for Eleanor Olton’s kilns and enamel supplies. On behalf of the family, I donated her supplies to The Enamelist Society so that the Society could, in turn, donate them to Beverley Street Studio. Averill Shepps, President of The Enamelist Society, drove to my home in New Hampshire, and left with her large car packed with kilns and a large quantity of supplies. The delivery chain continued when Janly and Barbara arrived at Averill’s studio in Pennsylvania to take the supplies to their new home at BSSS in Virginia.”
