In this drawing course, we will study various approaches to investigating the world around us through drawing. We will look to old master drawings for methods of depicting space and volume. We will explore different habits of keeping a personal sketchbook. Emphasis will be placed on gaining sensitivity to developing the artist’s relationship to their materials and perception. Each week, students will be guided through a series of drawing exercises that will culminate in a final drawing for the class.
