This workshop will explore the work of Henri Matisse and his influence on contemporary painters, including Richard Diebenkorn, Joan Mitchell, and David Park. You will learn why the work of these artists continues to resonate with many artists working today because of its reliance on color, the illusion of space and decisive mark making. Open to intermediate and advanced painters, the workshop will include demonstrations and ample one-on-one consultations to help you explore ways to take your work in new and exciting directions.
